Baptism is often called the door of the Church, because it is the first of the seven Sacraments not only in time but in priority, since the reception of the other Sacraments depends on it.  It is the first of the three Sacraments of Initiation.

Christ Himself ordered His disciples to preach the Gospel to all nations and to baptize those who accept the message of the Gospel (John 3: 1-21).

The Sacrament of Baptism for infants is celebrated on Sundays following the 11:00 am Mass.

Parents must attend a pre-Baptism catechesis Session before their first child is Baptized. Immaculate Conception and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel parishes offer a pre-baptism session throughout the year or couples may take a pre-Baptism class at another parish. To register for a class, contact the parish office at 440-942-4500
